Virtual Assistant & Admin Support for UK Pet Businesses

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

I offer virtual assistance services to small UK businesses specialising in the pet industry.

I also offer 121 dog hoopers lessons in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. Take a look at my hoopers website for more information.

We offer monthly retainers and adhoc VA services. We can provide help with email inbox management, customer care, calendar management, social media scheduling, inbox detox, website updates and more. Take a look at our services page to find out more details.

Retainers are paid up front monthly. An invoice is issued around 23rd of each month. Payments should be made electronically (e.g. via BACS) within 7 days of receiving the invoice before the 1st of the following month.

Adhoc work is also required to be paid up front. An invoice will be issued before work begins.

I use a tracking tool to monitor how much time is used and on which task. You will receive a weekly report to keep you informed. I will also update you if you're getting close to running out of your retainer hours. We can then decide to add more hours or reduce tasks if needed.

Your hours include all the time spent on your tasks, as well as any communication we have with you or your team, via email, messenger or video calls.

For monthly retainers, there is a minimum of 10 hours per month for £300.

For adhoc work, there is a minimum of 2 hours at £35 per hour.

A virtual assistant is a person designed to help with administrative, organisational, or task-oriented work remotely. VAs can handle a variety of tasks, depending on their specialization, such as managing emails, scheduling appointments, social media management, customer service, and more. They are often freelancers or contractors, who provide personalised support to individuals or businesses.

  • Cost-effective: small businesses save on hiring staff.
  • Time-saving: delegating routine tasks frees up your time for more important activities that require your focus.
  • Focus on Core Tasks: by outsourcing administrative or routine work, you can focus on higher-value tasks, such as business strategy, personal development, or client engagement.
  • Enhance your work/life balance: you can reduce stress and avoid burnout, giving you more time for family, personal interests, or rest.
  • Flexible: virtual assistants can work to fit your business needs, making them ideal for busy schedules.
